Okay, place, would have better prepared dishes. the good: the service is super friendly and attentive. the empanadas and the pisco were delicious! the Lomo-saltado was quite seasoned. the bad: we ordered a paella, the calamari was too chewing and the rice was over boiled. ordered a creamy pasta, which tasted quite a lot like mac and cheeses, quite bland in my mind. there is no space to wait to be sitting. I would recommend this place only for the empanadas.
we had eaten a few times in the chef paz and had enjoyed eating until yesterday. first we were surprised to see that their printed new menu did not include any prices; only a short description of the food offered. I didn't have my phone with me so I couldn't scan the qcode for the menu. we ordered the trilogia marina. the jalea, or roasted seafood, was dreadfully boiled. the garnel, whistle and calamari were dried and wrapped in a dark brown fried dough, almost as if they had been fried again to be heated again. the paella was in order, but had very few seafood in it. the ceviche share was really small, much too sharp (and we can season), and the spiced swirls on the top were not fresh or crisp. when we got the bill, we didn't think that the court deserves an almost $50 price day. the only thing we enjoyed was the Maracuya potion and the Cilantro sauce. we can try cook paz again and hope for a better meal, but we were really disappointed this time.
this little jewel is a great sound. I had no quantity of Peruvian food in the past, but what I had, kumpels in comparison to chef pazs amazing creations. everything is so light and fresh that it blown me away. the ceviche was so tasty, but do you like one and if they are not in a position to eat spicy decide for mild. the place seems to be packed all the time so they might have to wait for a table like us, but it is worth waiting. chef paz will most likely ask at her table how it was eating, that is the sign of a owner who cares.
We absolutely love this place! Service is always pleasant. Food is excellent!! The Peruvian Empanadas are my favorite.
