Came here last night after as we had a craving for some sushi. (First time visit)The atmosphere inside this quaint restaurant definitely has a lot of Japanese influence, which is amazing to experience. All of our tasting courses were delicious ... soup, salad, chef surprise sushi, beef sashimi, black dragon roll, teriyaki beef (which was an amazing steak), and kolbi dinner ... all were tasty! With the dinner rush happening towards the end of our meal, the restaurant began to get a bit noisier, but that is to be expected and happens in many eateries. We might have found our new spot for Japanese cuisine ... and yes ... we will return.Parking: We parked at the University Plaza, a short walk, but easily accessible.
I'm no expert, but I've been to quite a lot of sushi places over the years, and I think the sushi I had here was the best. It was easily the best sushi rice I have had and all the fish tasted very fresh. My picky friend from Vancouver claims this place is on par with good Japanese restaurants in Vancouver, which says a lot.It is kinda pricy tbh, but if you're willing to splurge, then I highly recommend.
Fresh, delicious food and friendly service. Our server tried a bit too hard to sell appetizers and drinks though. Best sushi I have had in Waterloo and will definitely return.
Sashimi and sushi are always fresh here. There are also some good options for people who can’t eat raw fish. Service is fast and welcoming.
