I wouldn't expect to find a place with such a great food without any advertisement at all. We found it because a local told us where to go. We ordered a parillada for two and was more than enough. It had New York, sausage and we chose chicken instead pork, all cooked with charcoal ,it came with sautéed vegetables and a stuffed portobello mushroom. The place is an old house with a palapa as dinning room with nice fruit trees and old vineyards as surrounding. You will enjoy.
Beautiful location with the winery in an old adobe and the restaurant under a palapa. Wonderful wines (including the Mision from 200+ year old vines) and wonderful food; great burgers, pastas, and of course the Parillada!
This time we went to this place because where we had planned to go was closed. My Sister told my Dad that someone had told her that this place was good, so we went. It's not a fancy place, cozy, rustic. They don't have many things to choose in their menu, my Sister, Nephew and I ordered a hamburger, my mom had a Salad and my dad chicken with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The hamburgers were good, the salad too, but my Dad didn't like his chicken much and said that it was expensive for the amount served. I didn't taste the chicken so I can't say if it was good or not. But I do think that it's not cheap. I would go back for another hamburger, but my Mom and Dad said that they wouldn't go back.
This is a 200 year old home still owned and run by the same family that built it during Baja's pioneer years. Good wine and excellent food at outstanding value. It was especially cool to meet the owner who allowed us to take a look at the original house. This is what Napa was like 50 years ago.
