La Paix - Restaurant - Hotel - Tournus

the hotel is simple and can use renovation, but the restaurant is from this world. everything was delicious without excess butter or cream. the staff of two! was efficient and very friendly. the weeping was divine. we're going back!

in juli many touring restaurants are closed, so this was a good sound. the weather had turned out so that it was nothing to sit inside. we were the only English there and it had a beautiful French atmosphere. we had a drink in le parisian at the river, which also looked beautiful, but it was full of Americans so that we did not eat there. the food was well presented and delicious. as it is in the wine growing area macon is very expensive, so we had Provence house wine, which was good. Chicken and cherry legs on most menus too. recommend the chaource starter.

we had a great dinner in a simple but cozy dining room. the food was presented in an original way and even special desires (vegetarian food for a family member) were fulfilled very accurately.

this was a night not to remember.From the beginning the service was a going through the motions process.Service slow you could have gone to the kitchen yourself and done a better job.Now let`s get down to the actual food.Here we are in Burgundy surrounded...by good wines and meats but no none of that for you my friend just a piece of overcooked beef which had been sitting on the pass too long, the duck just ok to average. A quiet night in the restaurant but they still managed to turn poor hungry souls away claiming they were fully booked(lucky people) Seriously this place deserves to close down as it was so poor i have had to hit the keyboard and let you know the real deal on this one. On a positive note the restaurant at the remparts hotel is very but closed on the night we visited. a good alternative to le paix is a packet of wasabi crisps with a nice bottle of wine on your own hotel room It`s me who is feeling i have wasted my time tonight,take heed and keep away from this mediocre waste of time!

We had a very good dinner on the very nice terrace of this good restaurant. Service and staff were very helpful and efficient. And the food was just great. Highly recommended.
