The food is very consistent, rich and the menu has numerous favoured German dishes which are comfort food in many ways. This time I had Spaetzl Nordsee. It was very tasty with a cream sauce and a mix of seafood. I would have added a colour accent with a piece of broccoli or red pepper or tomato. O find colours rather appetizing. My mom ordered the seafood crepes. They were excellent except that the filling very pasty, lacking textures. Service was very good as always. Ambiance can be noisy when crowded. Decor is very European.
This place was very busy and we were definitely the youngest people in the restaurant (late 20s). Granted, it was around 5pm so it was an early dinner for us. The portions were large and I definitely had leftovers. The waiters were very attentive. Overall it was a good experience.
Elisabeth's is a traditional type restaurant, old school floral decor, and usually older clientele. Not exactly a night spot, definitely somewhere I'd be more likely to go with a parent. <br/ <br/ That being said, the food is very good quality, and the service is excellent. The schnitzels are large and very tasty, and the steak is always perfectly flavoured and cooked, served with crisp vegetables and cabbage. Definitely somewhere I would recommend.
A must go. Great food for affordable pricing. Still a favourite under new ownership.
Elisabeth 's Chalet. Your review of this restaurant requires that you go back and do it right. It was our 54th wedding Anniversary and every thing was great and one of the few places in the area that has 'chateaubriand ' on the menu.
