Smitty's - St. Catharines

I visit this family business regularly, eating and personal are wonderful and I recommend this for everyone

the manager (leo) was super rude for us after we rejected his special drinks he wanted to order us, as I have allergies against chalk alcohol. then we asked if they had boneless chicken wings and he said we should just go to boston pizza. So we ordered something else and 10 minutes later said he didn't. then we ordered something else and he also said he didn't. then I said ok, we will eat elsewhere when they are out of so many things, and he k fine see ya then! it was so unprofessional. super rude, will not return if this manager is still working there. we are local and have never been treated so badly there. not to mention that he did not wear masks or gloves during a pandemic and there were no distancing measures introduced on tables. we did not look at any preemptive cleaning or proceeding.

the breakfast came hot and fast. the service was attentive and fast. monkeys were never empty. I am not sure if there is a senior menu, but the 92-year-old in our party had no chance to eat all these French toast.

great food, many possibilities. I liked the smorg while my wife decided from the menu. both are great. I found the atmosphere very pleasant and the service was exceptional. I recommend this place to breakfast.

I had dinner in the lounge at Smitty's. I ordered the New York Steak With Mashed Potatoes And Steamed Veggies as my sides. The steak tasted pretty good for a restaurant like Smitty's. I was pretty surprised. The cut of meat was good and it...had decent flavour. It was on the thin side, but it was still charbroiled very close to the medium I ordered. The mashed potatoes were ok with the gravy and the vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots) were soggy and lacked any flavour. Service was good and relatively fast, considering how busy the lounge was.
