Sonny's is one of the BBQ stacks in Palm Bay, just because there are not many other options. The food is always good for a chain restaurant. The serving size is also good, and prices are reasonable. My biggest problem with this particular location has always been what seems to be a staff problem. The servers seem to be super fast, and they seem to treat quite large parts of themselves, without bussing help and often also no hostess. Kitchen service is definitely much slower than other bbq places in the area. Despite under-impedance and healing, the servers are usually very pleasant.
My only complaint is with the boarding service. We arrived at the scheduled pick-up time and wrote our place. After waiting for more than 20 minutes, I went in to find three children sitting behind the tab on the counter while my and other peoples were sitting there and getting cold. The only answer was Oh, sorry. I didn't notice the text. You should be a little more proactive with the Curbside orders instead of just letting you sit around orders get cold.
Great food, good price, excellent staff This is one of the many Sonny's restaurants in Florida. This chain began in 1968 in Gainesville and has grown to over 100 locations in the United States. The restaurant chain is known for its grill and service. I have been lucky to visit many of their sites and can say that they are consistent on several items about every place I visited. Each business had clean tables, good bbq, friendly staff and reasonable prices. This place had all. It is located on the south side of Malabar Street only in the west of I-95. The traffic along this route of the road can be very busy, so be careful to get to and from it. There are many parking spaces in the south and west of the location. When you enter, you will be greeted by a hostess that takes you in a stand (almost all tables are stands) and took our beverage order. We ordered disc pork sandwiches with frits and tea. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Add in their signature barbecue sauce of your choice and you have a recipe for delicious food. The price for two full meals was $22 and it was worth it.
Sonny's is the quintessential southern BBQ stop. You can taste the slow roasted goodness I'm their meats. Generous servings are another Southern staple and Sonny's provides you more than enough to satisfy your hungry itch. Now let's add on the rewards program, which for me just provided a free lunch, a large pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on top, a side of beans (my choice) and a large iced tea. Didn't have to buy a thing, just show the reward and enjoy. The only thing that has changed at Sonny's over the years has been them dropping the salad bar and baked potato from the sides selection. I got the salad bar once, the first time I stopped at Sonny's over a decade ago. I realized I didn't have room for all the entree provided and a salad, so I never got it again. As for the baked potato, I wish that was still offered, but I've exchanged it for sweet potato fries when I get dinner. The one thing for everyone I know in selecting your BBQ stop is their sauce I find Sonny's a great match to my tastes, from their signature sauce, to sweet and spicy, and the Carolina mustard sauce. I'm certain you will find one you like
