Schoolhouse - Mountain

This has become one on our regular stops on the way up to the cabin in a Northern Wisconsin. Usually we have a drink or two and move on to the next stop, but this time I needed a bite to eat so I ordered a double cheeseburger. It was excellent! Unfortunately I ate it so quick that I didn't take a picture... I'm not sure if my words can properly describe it! Don't know if it was that I was so hungry, or if it was because I had a couple of drinks in me... But I loved every juice bite. Next time I'm in my way up north, I will wait to eat until I get to Mountain!

This place is fantastic. A rare slice of sweet gritty reality. Also while I was there someone drove a team of sled dogs to the bar!!!! They parked the dogs outside and said we could pet them and then they came in for a drink. Everyone was singing together inside and I felt so warm and welcomed. Not bad for a Thursday night at 1am. This place is amazing!!! I know from previous visits the food is good too. Kickass brisket sandwich.

Stopped in with a group of 6 people. Had our drinks in front of us in no time flat and then met the owner of the Schoolhouse who was as gracious as they come. Ordered up our food and it came as fast as you can get! Tasty sandwiches and so reasonable--one drink for each and sandwiches for 6 for $40! Make sure to stop in--we will again!

Just passing through town and found this lovely spot full of friendly locals and blaring Christmas music. Got to chat over beer with the bar owner and play pool without any competition for the tables (there are two and no one else was playing). The food was as could be expected for burgers and sandwiches under $8.

Great bar food, no deep fried stuff. Great service and friendly bartenders. Some of the best old fashioneds in the area, great custom mix. Good place to just unwind after work or party at on the weekends.
