we came to milwaukee to visit the mso and stay in the st kate’s arts hotel, our favorite place is of course the rumpus room. every time we visit the room, we feel like we see our good friends. katie, the bartender welcomed us when we had set ourselves for a preventive happy hour drink. the wisconsin old fashioned and the rye old not disappointed. we ordered a meat of spiced senf is delish paired with the Salumi slices and the sharp cheese, olive and Cranon style brot. when we went to the dining room, ron was our server at the table. he recommended various dishes to help us decide, and we chose the scallops with Heirloom handles and of course our cheeses popular as appetizers. for entrees we chose the Cuban sandwich (very tasty) and a bark fillet with wedge salad. rons service was impeccable and we enjoyed chatting with him during dinner. for dessert we shared the stout brownie with eis. overall a great experience. the drink prices are somewhat futile, but the alcohol is top notch. the chef creates interesting dishes with balanced and unique seasonal choices that are well integrated into the dishes.
they really wish that they could find the stork question from where they enter the host booth. is very crowded in this. also the metal chairs are very fast uncomfortable. Eating and service are amazing.
great food and service, as always! I can't expect to visit again if this coronavirus is nonsense.
Food was great. Service was wonderful. Got there early, by the time we left, the place was pretty full for a weeknight.
