Best biscuits and gravy in CT.. watch your sodium, though.
Great lunch alone waitress asked if i wanted breakfast or lunch menus, then offered both. Got Steaming cup of tea and a second cup. Had the tomato cheddar bisque and the ham and cheese. Waitress added tomato and gluten free bread I requested. Wonderful lunch not to slow or fast and filling.
Update item: California Cob salad is to die for! It’s loaded with tons of protein like a avocado, hard boiled egg, grilled chicken….it’s excellent! Make sure you get salad dressing. Mine was short, so I made some at home with Greek yogurt, feta, lemon juice, garlic, dill and white pepper. I ordered egg salad on sourdough to go with the pickle and macaroni salad. While I waited I ordered a **** Mary that I have been craving for awhile. It was excellent and to the spiciness I desire. I snapped a pic so you can see how much trouble they go through to make it awesome. It was nice to sit and enjoy a cocktail, after 18 months stuck inside.
I’ve eaten at this establishment a few times post pandemic. I cannot seem to understand, agree with or even remotely see what the negative reviews left reflect. Unless someone is choosing to dine in for breakfast at prime time with a large party (weekends in the morning , holidays etc) where hiccups and slow service are to be expected, I’ve personally experienced none of this. The food is consistent, it is clean, it is not greasy. My service has been timely, effective and kind with plenty of options for refills and asking me if I need extras like jelly , condiments etc. I have tried various items on the menu without issue. The chorizo hash well done has NEVER been different or failed each time I have gotten it.
