Gorilla Sushi Albany Park - Chicago

Good sushi at a reasonable price. My go to spot on ordering some grub! Faster service if you order for pick up .

A friend has recommended this place before and I was a little hesitant because of the price. Yesterday I needed a quick lunch between my classes and I decided to order online to pick up. I am not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best sushi places I have had in Chicago. The ingredients are so fresh and the pieces are pretty generous. I definitely know what I am going to have for lunch when I am on campus.

I liked this place until I had a complaint about my order. I guess everyone here works alone. I ordered a spicy salmon roll which was different than before but ok and a Thai iced tea, the Thai iced tea was way too sweet. I picked up my order at 2:15 and they close from 2-5 I believe, I called at 2:25, no answer. When I got home later in the day, I called and the lady said, it wasn't her so she can't do anything about it, told me to call tomorrow when the lady that made it comes back. What type of business has employees working alone, it's a business, you all work together no matter who made the order. Not ordering from this location again.

BROO this that yummy in yo tummy make you do yo happy dance type of sushiwhen I'm lookin for good local sushi for the low gorilla always comes to mind. On this last trip I ordered the black pearl and 2 orders of golden cali rolls for a quick mid day meal. Was ready 10minutes after I ordered. They're currently take out and delivery only, so I don't know what it's like to eat in the dining room. I'm not sure they'll ever reopen the dining room. I can say that their sushi is creative and tasty, and the prices are definitely right.
