I have really missed the simpleness to buy in the location, pancakes or waffeln or crêpes from the menu or finished in supermarkets. I noticed this load about a month ago and was not even harassed to look at the menu since I thought it wasn't far vegan friendly - they are never in the rule. however went from the highstreet a couple of weeks I passed to catch the stickers on the actual windows that there were vegan options. Imagine my excitement! I checked the menu and as someone else mentioned, there is an incredible variety of both sweet and hearty crêpe options, with choices like chocolate brownie mosquitoes, vegan impact cream and ice cream and the best piece of my opinion on vegan milkshakes. I've been a couple times because I'm already addicted and tbh it just shows how easy vegan food is. if a company can nail vegan crêpes/pancakes (and do it so well), there is really no excuse for other companies that do not try to improve vegan options. well made crêpeaffaire, their crêpes are delicious, especially their whipped cream and chocolate brownie! updated by the previous review on 2020-01-25
Nice to have an option for crêpes in Bromley and one where we could bring our dog! Vegan options are clearly marked, 2 breakfast, 3 savory and 5 sweet crêpes; vegan coffees and ice cream milkshakes. We had 2 Supervegan crêpes (I substituted the mushrooms in mine for red onion confit with no hassle) and 2 vegan matcha lattes. Our lattes were actually made wrong the first time but the manager spotted it straight away, before I took them off the counter, and quickly made new ones. The crêpes were crispy and the flavours went together well. I was happy with the amount of filling though others might think it a bit thin. It wouldn't be a main meal for most people, more a café where you can get a light lunch/snack. This a new place, with new staff and we went on a busy Saturday afternoon and still all the staff managed to be really friendly and professional. There are no fully vegan or vegetarian places in Bromley town so this will do for now, here's hoping they expand their vegan range!
If you want to go for Crêpes, that's not bad options, but you could not help think that you can do the same for less at home
I’ve been vegan for 6 years this year, and the one thing I loved prior to going vegan is pancakes of any form. I’ve really missed the simplicity of being able to purchase pancakes or waffles or crêpes off the menu or ready made in supermarkets. I noticed this shop about a month ago and didn’t even bother to look at the menu as I thought it wouldn’t be remotely vegan friendly— they never usually are. However walking from the highstreet a few weeks ago I happened to catch the stickers on the actual windows that said there were vegan options. Imagine my excitement haha! I checked out the menu and as someone else has mentioned, there are an incredible variety of both sweet and savoury crêpe options, with choices such as chocolate brownie pieces, vegan whipped cream and ice cream and the best bit in my opinion VEGAN MILKSHAKES. Goodness they tasted so good- better than ‘non vegan’ milkshakes in my opinion. I’ve been in a few times now because I’m already addicted and tbh it just highlights how easy vegan food is. If a company can nail vegan crêpes/pancakes (and do it so well) there really isn’t any excuse for other companies who dont try to/provide vegan options. Well done Crêpeaffaire, your crêpes are delicious, especially your whipped cream and chocolate brownie one! Updated from previous review on 2020-01-25
I was pleased to find a large vegan section on the menu, but I was somewhat disappointed with my meal. I ordered the most substantial option, the most expensive item, yet there wasn't enough crepes to soak up all the sauces. All the crepes were served cold, which I understand was intentional, but I found it a bit unusual. I also expected the crepes to be filled, but they were just plain. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed the meal and would be open to trying other dishes. My daughter ordered the brownie, and it was absolutely delicious—really gooey and decadent. Next time, I think I’ll order a dish that includes the brownie. Lastly, the decor wasn't very cozy; it felt a bit like being in a shopping center, even though it's just outside. It was clean and modern, though.
