There was plenty of filling and it was very well seasoned. It is above the average price for a HCT toastie however the quality of the bread and cheese justifies the price $12). I would indulge every now and again but it did leave me with a food coma that afternoon.
Had the lunch special Porchetta with salad. I was just expecting your typical roast pork but what I got was gourmet lunch in a box. The pork was beautifully cooked with crackling that would crack and melt in your mouth. Don't be taken back by the shop's deco. This place has the best under $20 lunch deal.
Amazing! Cheese Pleaser earns its high star rating for very good reason. Visited during the lunch rush and ordered roast of the day—lamb— which was served with roast potatoes and seasonal salad. The lamb was amazing; perfectly tender with a crispy flavoursome outer layer, hardly any fat. Potatoes oh so perfect too. The salad was truly seasonal, with sliced black plum for a hint of sweetness. My grandmother would be impressed. Food was served quickly. It was amazing to watch the staff bustle about. Absolutely one of the best inner city options for lunch or cheeses in Brisbane. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would!
My fav lunch place. Great roasts with salads. Gnocchi toasties all kind of cheeses.. Yum!
Fridays mean two things in Brisbane, the work week is almost over and a truly special work lunch is available. Porchetta is a dish that fits the Friday long lunch vibes and the offering here at The Cheese Pleaser is a standouts amongst its peers. A generous serving of pork, potatoes and salad with a house soda gives you change from a $20 so it doesn't break the budget. The only downside is that I can have it all week long!<br/ <br/ Pictured is the Porchetta roast lunch with house soda.
