Good service and delicious options for smoothies and acai bowls made to order in-house, as well as about a dozen different juice combinations that are pre-made.
This is right across the street from Down Dog Yoga, and after a sweaty Sunday morning class, there is nothing better than a fresh juice! As an environmental enthusiast I 100% prefer glass over plastic and they use glass bottles! The atmosphere here is not for hanging out. There are few seats and the staff aren't extremely friendly. It is almost a fast food juice vibe. Very get your juice and be on your way but I don't mind that on most days. When I came with a friend, it didn't feel like we could sit and chat over our after-workout juices, which was a slight deterrent. The juices are tasty and packed with fresh ingredients but be prepared to spend what seems like an insane amount of money on a single juice. Honestly, you could buy a salad for the same price as one bottle of juice and sit at a table comfortably while eating it. If you are a constant juicer, I wouldn't recommend making this your daily visit. Put the work in and make your juice comfortably at home, but for a quick pick-me-up or after-workout refuel, this does the job!
My husband and I regularly frequented Purée in Bethesda for nearly two years, purchasing at least 6 bottles at a time, plus raw meals. Loved the juice and smoothies, even though we felt they were overpriced. Then we had a really poor customer service experience that was never satisfactorily resolved, so we haven't been back there since--more than a year ago. Too bad.
This expensive Juice Bar is down the street from SOULCYCLE which was right on time when I needed to refuel from the intense spin class. I'm not one for price gouging but given their location in the trendy business district of Bethesda, MD I understand the Justification. There is a large selection of juices and smoothies which are served in glass bottles which is cool. But I wasn't a fan of their packaged foods or the $10 coconuts.
