Free chips and salsa (salsa was nice and smooth had a good bite) margaritas good and strong, food was exalent I couldn't say more good things about los charros. They also serve some American food geared more towards children
We were in Iowa for a baseball tournament. Decided we wanted Mexican and we were not disappointed. Eleven ball players, their parents and some grandparents went. Called ahead and they pretty much gave us a room to ourselves. The boys were kinda loud but the employees didn't mind. They kept drinks filled. Chips and salsa filled. Food was really good. And we left a big tip since they worked with us and bent over backwards for us.
Super fantastic . 14.00 Carnitas were the best flavor we have had in YEARS!! Perfect seasoning and cooking. And we are in our 60s. to the cooks. The red sauce mild at first great mixture of seasonings then slowly heated up. Was not impressed with the one 6.00 Sopes but they do not make their own sopes so can't blame them. More than 5 stars Forgot to take pics. And of course leftovers for another meal.
I have been coming to Los Charros for years now. I've tried other places like Guadalajara and Hildalgos even, though Los Charros has always been my go to for delicious mexican food with the family. Their menu changes on occasion but that is not a bad thing. The staff is generally friendly and quick and the food always delivered hot when I am there.
Food was amazing as always. We ordered the seafood dip and that was to die for. I had the fried fish and my bf has the jefe and both we super yummy! originally ordered a strawberry Daiquiri and I honestly really didn’t like it so my server was kind enough to take it back and replace it with a margarita. She was really sweet about it and didn’t make me feel bad. We left her a more generous tip because of that. I think her name was Kaylee. Not sure, but I Highly highly recommend.
